America’s Leading Ladies(ALL): Who Positively impact our world is a powerful and inspirational book of courage, determination, triumph and resilience. It featured some of the most successful women who have been able to dominate their respective industries. It contains literature from contributors like Oprah Winfrey, Melinda Gates, Maya Angelou(RIP) and many others who have impacted many lives through their careers.
The Challenge
America’s Leading Ladies is a project to empower women across the country to chase their dreams and believe in themselves beyond any doubt. The challenge was to develop the perfect layout that would ensure the best reading experience. In order to publish the book effectively, the client needed a professional interior layout design, as well as formatting for both print and ebook. America’s Leading Ladies lasted for up to 5 months to complete and was developed in collaboration with New Light Media Publishing.
The Solution
When designing an interior layout for publication; factors such as the genre, target readers, means of publishing, typography and technical requirements are considered in order to improve the reading experience. A lot of care goes into the details from the margins to the width of text rows to hierarchy and spacing. Each page layout is considered both in isolation and as a spread facing the next page. A consistent approach is maintained to help guide your readers eyes through the reading experience.
America’s Leading Ladies is a project to help empower women to chase their dreams and believe in themselves. It contains work from Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou and other contributors. The interior layout was designed to create a seamless reading experience across different devices.
Overall the project has been a great success and was launched for Amazon and Kindle around the end of May of 2019. A print version was also created for paperback. You can now find the book on amazon by Clicking here.
